Shamrock Treats

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and your pup shouldn’t be left out of the festivities! These green shamrock dog cookies will have your pooch saying “Irish it was Paddy’s Day every day!” What makes these cookies green? It’s a combination of mint and parsley. All natural and a great breath freshener!

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups organic brown rice flour
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil (warmed to liquid)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh parsley
  • 1 cup chicken broth or water

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.

Place the brown rice flour into a large mixing bowl and set aside.

In food processor, combine mint, parsley, coconut oil and ¼ cup of chicken broth. It should be a smooth green juice. Add this to the flour and mix well.

Beat the egg and add to the flour mixture and mix well!

Knead the dough while slowly adding the remainder of your chicken broth. Place the dough on a large surface, roll out until it’s 1/3 of an inch thick.

Use festive St. Patrick’s Day cookie cutters and place on cookie sheet.

Bake 15-20 minutes. Let cool!
