Nutrience & Nature Pet Center Sponsors West Island Microchip ClinicAugust 31, 2016
BAIE-D’URFE, August 22, 2016 – Nutrience pet foods, a division of Rolf C. Hagen Inc. is pleased to announce that its Microchip Clinic, organized in partnership with the SPCA West Island (SPCA) and Nature Pet Center in Pointe-Claire, QC, was a resounding success.
Nutrience places great importance on the work of community organizations and their tireless volunteers who work to promote responsible pet ownership and provide our communities with programs to help reduce the number of abandoned pets.
For many years, microchipping has had limited availability and presented a significant cost barrier to many pet owners. Despite these concerns, making microchipping a more accessible and affordable service is one of the most effective ways to ensure that lost animals are returned to their families in a timely fashion, and in turn, reducing the significant financial and operational strain animal shelters face with regards to the long-term housing and care of unidentified animals.
Nutrience is pleased to help offer this service to the West Island – a community it has called home for many decades. Through the clinic, we were able to microchip and completely register 196 pets at a reduced cost of only $35 per pet, at Nature Pet Center in Pointe-Claire – a location most pet owners in the West Island are familiar with and already visit for their pet supplies.
Nutrience and the SPCA would like to thank all those who were able to attend and assist in promoting responsible pet ownership.
